The Boone County Conservation Board announced on March 19 that it is accepting applications for two full-time, seasonal Park Aide positions at Don Williams Campground and park in Ogden, Iowa. The roles will support a range of tasks related to the management of the campground, wildlife areas, and trails overseen by the board.

These positions are important as they help maintain public spaces and ensure visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. The aides will also have opportunities to assist with outdoor recreational programs led by the county Naturalist.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in all weather conditions. Experience operating equipment such as mowers, trimmers, skid loaders, tractors, chain saws, and hand tools is preferred but not required.

Duties include mowing, weed eating, cleaning facilities, general maintenance of parks and facilities, interacting with park visitors, and other assigned tasks. The position runs from approximately May through September and will not exceed 40 hours per week. The wage is $15 per hour.

Interested candidates are asked to submit a resume and cover letter either by mail to the Boone County Conservation Board at 610 H Avenue in Ogden or via email to cwilson@boonecounty.iowa.gov.
