Boone County seeks part-time dispatcher for 911 communications department

Boone County has announced a job opening for the position of dispatcher within its 911 Communications Department. The role involves dispatching police, medical, and fire services across the county. Dispatchers will receive calls from various police agencies and through the E911 system, operate multiple computer and radio systems, and manage information flow between officers, agencies, citizens, and emergency public services.

The responsibilities also include performing miscellaneous duties at the Boone County Jail such as searches and change-outs. Additional tasks involve testing weather sirens in Madrid, Ogden, Boone, and rural areas of Boone County on the first Monday of each month. Nightly test pages for all agencies in Boone County are conducted at 1800 hours. Monthly validations of records maintained within state and national crime information systems are also required by Technology Services and the Department of Public Safety.
