WINTER BIRDING HIKE

Join Expert birder Kelly McKay (BioEco Research and Monitoring Center), with assistance from Mark Roberts (Clinton County Conservation) and Brian Ritter (Nahant Marsh Education Center) on a hike at the Iowa Arboretum, to look for and learn about migratory birds in central Iowa.

These workshops encourage citizens to increase their bird identification skills and promote local citizen projects.  

The Building Better Birders Workshop is funded by the Resource Enhancement and Protection – Conservation Education Program (REAP – CEP)

When: Sunday, February 6th, 2022 – 4:00-5:30 PM

Where: Meet at the visitor center at the Iowa Arboretum. Be prepared to hike on various terrains and in cold temperatures.

What we need from you

We are encouraging pre-registration, so we can guarantee we have participants and enough equipment (binoculars/field guides) for the program.
