The Iowa State Cyclones women’s swimming and diving team will compete in the 2026 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event runs from February 24 to February 28.
Iowa State will face conference rivals including Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, Kansas, TCU, Utah, and West Virginia. In their most recent meet against Kansas, the Cyclones lost 89-211 but secured three event victories. Grace Swoboda led with wins in both the 100 breaststroke (1:01.77) and 200 breaststroke (2:15.94). Kendall Mallers finished second in the 200 butterfly, while Emma Kuhn was runner-up in the 200 individual medley.
On the diving side, Kate Mitchell earned a personal-best score of 321.08 to win the 3-meter title and also placed third on the 1-meter board.
Breaststroke events have been strong for Iowa State recently with Peck and Swoboda consistently finishing among the top three. Carlotta Gazzola has been performing well in distance freestyle races such as the 500, 1000, and 1650-yard events.
