This places the university as the 18th least expensive public institution in Iowa for 2024.

In-state tuition and fees rose by $290 compared to the previous year.

Out-of-state students enrolled at Iowa State University in 2024 paid $28,881, reflecting an increase of $1,198 from the prior year.
