Join us on October 7 at the Gateway Hotel, for the Manufacturing Breakfast, presented by South Story Bank and Trust! You will have the chance to hear from Iowa State Alumni, Steve Sukup, as he discusses manufacturing and current trends.

Steve serves as President and CEO, a role he has held since February 1, 2020, and oversees all day-to-day company operations, with locations in seven states and two international. He previously served as CFO for Sukup Manufacturing Co. – beginning in 1994. A graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Steve has also received the Process in Engineering Award from ISU and served as president of the Iowa State University Research Foundation.

Steve currently serves on the State of Iowa Judicial Nominating Commission, Iowa Motor Truck Association Board, Iowa Public Television Board, Harkin Institute Board, and Ringneck Energy Board. He is also the sitting President of Golden Rule Insurance Co. and is the Vice Chair of Golden Grain Energy. In addition, Steve served in the Iowa legislature from 1994 to 2002 including Speaker Pro Tem. Steve and his wife Vicki reside in Clear Lake, Iowa, and have three children, Nick, Crystal, and Emily, and five grandchildren. His son Nick, daughter Emily, and sons-in-law Andy and Matt hold roles at the company.

Sukup Manufacturing Company has grown 8 times larger in the last 20 years and currently employs 800 people. Sukup Manufacturing Company is the largest family owned Grain Bin and Dryer company.
