The City of Madrid is accepting applications for a Public Works/Parks Laborer on an as needed basis. The position performs a combination of laboring, vehicle and equipment operation, a variety of maintenance and light construction work related to the operation of City infrastructure systems and the maintenance and repair of City parks and streets. Other duties may be assigned as needed in the sewer and water departments. Candidate must have general knowledge of public works operations and principles, operate department tools and equipment and possess a valid State of Iowa driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment.

Hourly rate is 12.75 per hour. Minimum Qualifications include graduation from high school or a GED and at least one (1) year of experience in general construction, equipment operation or repair and maintenance work.
