Brookridge Avenue between Ninth and Lee streets will be closed to through traffic beginning Tuesday, June 13, to begin work on underground utilities improvements. Access will be allowed for residents only. Sidewalks will also be closed. Please follow the posted sidewalk detour route.

The City of Ames has contracted with Shekar Engineering for this project, which is expected to take two to three days to complete.

Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time to detour around the work zone. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling near construction zones. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
