City of Gilbert recently issued the following announcement.
Lions Clean Up Day
Saturday, September 12 — 8:00 a.m. curbside pickup begins
The Gilbert Lions will be holding their annual redeemable can & bottle collection on Saturday, September 12. They will also be collecting recyclable metal items and used appliances. Old metal objects like wire, steel posts, car batteries, bed frames, grills, tire rims, etc., are accepted.
A $10.00 donation is asked for pickup of an appliance. The event is usually held in the spring but was postponed due to Covid-19. Proceeds from the recycling go to the American Diabetic Association.
