Ames Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Story County Restaurant Week

Monday, September 28, 2020 7:00 AM - Sunday, October 4, 2020 8:00 PMCST

Presented by EatStreet

We know the impact COVID-19 has had on on our Story County bars, restaurants, cafes, bistros, and other has not been easy to handle. In an effort to provide support, the Ames Chamber of Commerce is hosting a "Restaurant Week" September 21-27. During this week, we will encourage the community to dine-in or carry-out from Story County eateries or drinkeries, and specifically highlight our members on social media.

To help spread the message and encourage sales, we ask our eateries and drinkeries in Story County to do any of the following:

  1. Register below as a participating business so we can share your name on social media.
  2. Create a special for the week encouraging people to dine with you - include it in your registration so we can help promote it as well!
  3. If your business is not currently open, we suggest offering gift cards for sale so the community can still support you.
  4. Post to social media with the hashtag #StoryCountyRestaurantWeek that you are a participating business.
To help our Story County eateries and drinkeries, we encourage the community to do the following:

  1. Dine-in, order takeout, delivery, or curbside from a local establishment
  2. Purchase gift cards to use throughout the year, or gift to friends and family
  3. Share your meal on social media with the tag #StoryCountyRestaurantWeek to spread the news!
We will work to keep this page updated with participating businesses throughout Story County. Follow our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages for more promotions.
