Boone Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement.
Pufferbilly Days(TM) is one of Iowa's largest community festivals, celebrating Boone's railroad heritage - now the first weekend in August! Nightly entertainment, mud volleyball tournament, huge craft fair, 5K/10K roadrace, carnival rides, classic car show, talent contests, and of course, the legendary Pufferbilly Days(TM) parade that stretches two miles in length and annually draws more then ten thousand people lined up along Story Street. There is truly something for everyone.

Pufferbilly Days(TM) kicks off Friday afternoon, August 6th with the carnival and food court opening up at Noon and wraps up that evening with m'live' music in the entertainment center until 11:30pm. The festival continues Saturday morning at 8am with the craft fair on Story Street and runs until 11:30 that night, finishing with more 'live' music in the entertainment center. Sunday morning activities begin at 11am wit the craft fair and food court and the festival winds down at 3pm.
Location
Pufferbilly Days(TM) is a street festival with most activities taking place in downtown Boone, Iowa, primarily along 9th Street and Story Street. See the 2021 Pufferbilly Days(TM) map for other activities spread out throughout the community.
Fees/Admission
Some Pufferbilly Days(TM) events and activities will include entrance fees. Nightly entertainment is FREE!
