City of Ames issued the following announcement on August 12.
The U.S. Highway 30 eastbound off-ramp to South Duff Avenue will open to traffic on Monday, Aug. 16. The off-ramp intersection with South Duff Avenue has been reconfigured to align with Billy Sunday Road, and a traffic signal has been installed. Traffic exiting eastbound Highway 30 will be able to continue straight onto Billy Sunday Road or make right or left turns onto South Duff Avenue through the signalized intersection. All Billy Sunday Road traffic will also use the new signalized intersection. Traffic to Wilson Toyota of Ames should continue to use the South Duff Avenue frontage road from the Airport Road intersection during this phase of construction.
Work will continue on the reconstruction of the south lane of Billy Sunday Road for approximately two to three weeks. Once this work is complete, all three lanes of the new Billy Sunday Road intersection will be open to traffic.
