Valerie Stallbaumer, LAc, MSOM, of Story Medical's Ames Natural Health Clinic is offering a free community education program focused on the benefits of acupuncture. Valerie is a state licensed, nationally certified acupuncturist who has been practicing acupuncture and Oriental medicine full-time at the Ames Natural Health Clinic since September 1997.
Acupuncture is used all over the world for a variety of health issues. The World Health Organization and the National Institutes of Health recognize that many common conditions can be helped using acupuncture and other treatment methods of Oriental medicine including back pain, knee pain, headaches, depression, fatigue, allergies, post-COVID problems, women's health, insomnia, stress, general aches and pains, and more.
Acupuncture has also been shown to be an effective preventative health care practice and many choose to receive regular treatments.
Valerie's program will provide an overview of acupuncture and allow time for question and answer.
