Teller Avenue (580th Street) north of East Lincoln Way will close on Tuesday, May 30, for repaving, and will remain closed for approximately one week. Both Teller Avenue north of East Lincoln Way and East Lincoln Way should reopen the week of June 5.

After East Lincoln Way and Teller Avenue north of East Lincoln Way are open, Teller Avenue south of East Lincoln Way will close to complete the connection of a sanitary sewer main into the new lift station. This work is expected to take two to three weeks.

The City of Ames has contracted with Keller Excavating for this project, which includes the installation of water main and sanitary sewer along the north side of East Lincoln Way from Teller to Potter avenues. These utilities are for the Prairie View Industrial Center. Developed by Alliant Energy and the Ames Economic Development Commission (AEDC), in partnership with the City of Ames, Prairie View Industrial Center features approximately 1,200 acres located within the city limits of Ames.

Motorists are encouraged to be aware of construction in the area and to allow for extra travel time or consider using alternative routes. Those who use the signed detour route should follow posted speed limits. Speeds along East Lincoln Way are reduced during active construction.
