0Comments

Traffic on East 13th Street from Duff to Meadowlane avenues will shift to the outside lanes beginning Monday, Nov. 14, weather permitting. The two center lanes will be closed to complete final manhole work, which is expected to take one week. Work on the north half of the intersection at 13th Street and Duff Avenue is also anticipated to be complete in one more week, weather permitting. The City of Ames has contracted with Con-Struct to complete the reconstruction of East 13th Street from Duff to Meadowlane avenues.

The intersections of Carroll, Stafford, Maxwell, Glendale, and Meadowlane avenues will be open during this phase. Sidewalks, with the exception of those on the northside of the intersection at Duff Avenue and East 13th Street, will also be open.

Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays will occur. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling through the construction area.
