Cost of college went up for all students at PCI Academy-Ames

Tuition and fees rose 6.7 percent for 2018-19 at PCI Academy-Ames, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Iowa students paid $22,604 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $1,411 more than the $21,193 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 85 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 26 students received grants or scholarships totaling $126,017 and 37 students took out student loans totaling more than $219,334.

Including all undergraduates (141), 108 students used grants or scholarships totaling $592,079, and 138 students took out $877,031 in federal student loans.
