City of Ames recently issued the following announcement.
The Ames Parks and Recreation Department will present its “Virtually Anywhere … AND Here” concert series at 7 p.m. Fridays in February and March.
This year’s concerts will be presented in person and virtually.
The 2022 concert series will feature artists from around central Iowa and kick off with a performance from Ryne Doughty on Friday, Feb. 11.
Other artists scheduled to perform during the series include Allegra Hernandez, Debarpan Dhar, King Wylde, and Sara Routh. More concert information and ticket links are available at www.facebook.com/amesauditorium/events.
“We are excited to welcome audiences back for this year’s concerts while maintaining the virtual option for those who want to tune in from home,” said Auditorium, Bandshell and Community Center Manager Craig Kaufman.

The Parks and Recreation Department manages 38 parks and offers approximately 180 athletic, aquatic, instructional, and wellness programs. Indoor programs are provided throughout the winter at the Community Center, Ames/ISU Ice Arena, and Municipal Pool.
