83.4% of Story County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 98,106 citizens living in Story County in 2021, 83.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 81,790 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 43,042 were male, constituting 52.6%, and 38,748 were female, making up 47.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Story County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.7%.
