2% of citizens unemployed in Boone County in 2021

Boone County recorded an unemployment rate of 2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 296 people out of the 26,721 living in Boone County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Boone County has decreased compared to the 2.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Boone County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.9%.

Of the 14,169 people who had a job during that time, 47 were employed in the Armed Forces and 14,122 belonged to the civilian labor force.
