The Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) has announced a temporary closure of the Penn Street to northbound I-380 ramp (Exit 4) in North Liberty, Iowa. The closure is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 10, and is expected to last up to three months, depending on weather conditions. This closure is necessary for ramp reconstruction work as part of the Penn Street interchange reconstruction project.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured southbound and directed to turn northbound at Forevergreen Road (Exit 2). More details about the project can be found on the City of North Liberty’s website and through the Iowa DOT's major construction projects page.

The Iowa DOT advises motorists to drive carefully in work zones, adhere to posted speed limits and signs, and remain aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in these areas. Drivers are encouraged to stay alert, maintain safe distances between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
